Rothbury Tourist Information Centre and National Park Centre provides the visitor with information on events, attractions, places to visit within the local area and regionally. Visitors can also book local accommodation and book a bed ahead. There is a gift shop where books, maps, souvenirs and clothing are available for purchase. Visitors can pick up email on the internet pods free of charge or just relax with a cup of coffee while watching the video in the interpretation room.

There are a number of roads leading into Rothbury, from A1 (travelling south) exit at Alnwick and join the B6341 and follow signs for Rothbury which is approximately 15 miles. If travelling north on the A1 exit onto A697signposted Coldstream, after 9 miles exit onto B6344 for 5 miles and then onto the B6341 and follow road for Rothbury, again approx 15 miles. If travelling from the west leave A68 at Otterburn on B6341 signposted Rothbury, again 15 miles. From Hexham take A69 to Newcastle and exit at Corbridge, turn left on A68 to Stagshaw, at roundabout take 2nd exit signposted Jedburgh, after 7 miles turn right onto B6342 and follow signs for Rothbury, journey distance is 34 miles and will take about 45 minutes.
There is only one bus service which operates between Newcastle and Rothbury and that is the X44 from Haymarket, Newcastle to Morpeth then change to Service 144 to Rothbury. This service is operated by Go Northeast. For operating times telephone traveline 0871 200 2233
